Definitely the highest waisted shorts I've ever owned... They don't call these 'Mom' for nothing.

Guest Room: Bed Frame: Ikea (repainted white). Bed Side Cabinets: Vintage.
Pillows: Urban Outfitters Home.
Desk (Used as Dressing Table): Urban Outfitters Home. Chair: Modernica. Sheepskin Throw: Ikea.
Mirror: Urban Outfitters Home. Jewlery Box: West Elm.
We just moved house (most stressful thing ever!). We used Urban Outfitters Home to decorate our new guest room and also nabbed a new dressing table for me whilst we were at it. I was verrrrrry impressed by the textiles on offer by Urban Oufitters- they immediately gave the guest room a boho chic, luxe vibe. Especially that quilt.... I may have to steal it for the master bedroom.
I used the 'Moda' desk as a dressing table. I like a lot of space when I'm doing my makeup and this desk definitely has that. I fell in love with the mid century shape.

I think good photography is key to any personal style blog. The best outfits in the world don't mean anything if you don't have a good photographer to capture them. Usually my husband takes my pictures but this week we had our friend, Kevin Morosky from London staying with us and it only seemed right that we had him shoot a blog post. I rewarded him with donuts ;)

Skirt: American Apparel. Bandeau Top: Balmain.
This A-line skirt has me feeling like a teenager all over again. These were all the rage back in South East London circa 1999....
FYI: I'm wearing Dior Diorific lipstick in shade 'Dolce Vita'. It's a little more coral than I usually go for but I think a coral red works great with a tan in the summer.

I think my favourite way to wear boyfriend jeans is with a pair of heels. There's something about the juxtaposition of a relaxed, loose fit pair of jeans with a killer pair of heels that just feels right.
Clearing out my closet got me thinking about what my key pieces are.... I think a silky white blouse is definitely one of them. Crisp white shirts are good too but for that laid back, nonchalant feel I lean towards silky.
